Romantic Legacy (Last Valentine)

Fri Feb 6, 2009, 8:35 AM
Last year I wrote three pieces concerning the themes of Love. Death. Resurrection. I don't know if my watchers remember this but I posted Lady Love's Silhouette, Till Death Do Us Part, and Apology around the same time last year... I must admit that I've been becoming inactive in the world of deviantART and apathetic of the features that it brought (like checking and commenting on other people's deviations etc.). I lost the spirit to truly breathe in the world of this "art" site. So like every Valentine's I shall write three pieces. This year will be the last year that I'll be doing this on DA. Who knows if I'll ever post something again on this website. Maybe I've just outgrown the need to be here. I'm off to focus on the real world now. DA has thought me a lot and I have met many great individuals during my stay here. You guys will always be in my thoughts and memories. So yeah, this will be my romantic legacy to the watchers that have been with me since I started this page. My gift to you... Shades of what romanticism is, was and will be.

Romantic Legacy (Series)
I - The Wanderer (revising)
II - The Raven (writing)
III - Last Valentine (first draft finished)

I shall you leave now with this thought:

We outgrow love, like other things
And put it in the Drawer —
Till it an Antique fashion shows —
Like Costumes Grandsires wore.

- Emily Dickinson (We outgrow love, like other things)

Incredible writers that I had the honor of watching:

Thought and Memory

Sat Jan 31, 2009, 9:39 PM
An elegy of a man, of his thought and memory…

I am thought, the thinker. One who creates ideas… acts them out. One who weaves tales of fantasy, love and despair… a person deemed a rebel of the conventional. A deviant of maturity… the dark messenger who disseminates information in this writings and actions... An anarchist of what is dubbed as order in a society full of lawyers, policemen, politicians, businessmen and educators. One who watches the world and ponders its nature… to see the faces of people, the actions they have done, the emotions they have expressed… I am thought and I contemplated of many tales… real and fantasy… the life of other people and my own, religion and ideologies, life and death… the thinker who believes in change, or even not, in a world filled with order and chaos… For I am a thinker, a person wielding his own fate… writing his own story… someone who has thought of it all. One who will ride with the tides of history…

I am memory, the romantic. One who romanticizes the ideas he has thought… pondering on the actions he has taken. One who has considered of the tales he had written… of love and despair pain and suffering, euphoria and melancholy… the effect they have on others and to the world around me. One who dreams of the past, someone forging his own future… One who has yet to realize his potential, contemplating on the present. One who keeps tracks of his stories… to remind him of what he has done, and what he is meant to do. A man who rides with the turbulent tides of history… for his reasons and for the world he has vowed to watch… acting upon the marks to rectify his existence, for himself and for the people dear to him. For that man is me… memory, the hollow romantic. One who woos people with his words, action and heart… of love and music, life and death… one who cares about the fate of the people in his own short story. For I am a wanderer, a romantic embedded in the chambers of my own memory… of the life I once had and the life I’m set out to do. Someone who shall romanticize his story with both his thoughts and his memories... A man who will race against the sands of time…

Random Thoughts (What If's)

Journal Entry: Tue Mar 4, 2008, 10:08 AM
:iconsomething44: Something44's Emotional Sanctuary

Well everybody has regrets in their life… The dreaded “What if…” Sometimes I don’t get the logic behind it when people intended to do or not do something in the first place. Regret is a feeling I despise. Heck, I even threw it out of my emotional sanctuary. Regret is something I don’t live by and should be discouraged. Having regrets shows how frail one’s convictions really are. Well, in my opinion. I don’t know… I’m just sick of people having regrets in life for the things they have and have not done.

What if...
by: something44

What if I fought for what I believe in? Bewildering my every thought as I gaze into the scarlet moon… screaming… at the top of my lungs. Justice, power and freedom… are these things worth living for? Seeking for? Dying for? As billions laid waste in this tiny speck of a planet in a vast universe where the red star shines above…

What if I put my pride down for love? Will I ever be happy in a state of selflessness… where trust is clear, communications hold people dear…? Lying beneath a secret garden, where people mingle. Hearts twinkle as bright as Antares over the Scorpio constellation. Love. Death. Resurrection… Metaphors. Symbolisms of love people don’t even know.

What if I wanted to live for myself? Will people see me as selfish? Do they have the right to dictate what I do and who I am? Name calling, stereotypes, labeling… Will this end? As the road takes us further down the road? Should I take the road less travelled when I venture into the abyss? Sleeping beneath the sun basking…Glancing the moon…for people never understood, who I really am.

What if I end up all alone? In this vast world where people are the waves strolling in this ocean called life. Worrying on how the tides may change in our favor or do the opposite. Where life shall set me down a dwindling road where trees decay as seasons past… while bystanders stare at every road I take. Will this be my suffering? Attaching a part of me to society’s standards? As my name is engraved on the wall where people would see… scribbles of myself. Embedded in its tremendous glory.

What if I tell you a secret people do not know? Will you giggle? Quiver in the thought of having too much to think about. Reaching out… As the message is clear, dissemination will bring out fear… to people. Being judged by other people. While they themselves do not know what it really means. To hold a secret… Where the wolves will turn about, hiding… In sheep’s clothing.

Should we always regret on things we have done and have not done? Even if you had wanted it to happen in the first place? Decisions… risks… a futile effort to erase the past, in building a brand new future… Hesitating the jeopardy of being ridiculed… by people… ourselves burning down a scented candle. Where the light will guide you… Down the road where a cage will be lit… a cage called life.

Love. Death. Resurrection

Journal Entry: Fri Feb 15, 2008, 7:50 AM
:iconsomething44: Something44's Emotional Sanctuary

Well, I’ve posted all three entries of my poetry series entitled “Love. Death. Resurrection.” Hope you read them and took time to analyze the story because it’s about me… my past and how I lost a part of my of myself like what I said in the author's comments of Apology.

The whole series is divided by three themes. Love signifies the feeling of love and being loved. Death symbolizes the lost… losing that love, a space that has remained… where love once resided. Resurrection is realization, a new beginning of the heart… an enlightenment and self-improvement of the psyche... A new life he has found. Hope you’ve appreciated my effort. I’m emotionally drained so I’ll take a few days off from writing.

Love. Death. Resurrection.

:iconmattiello: Mattiello is one of the earliest guys I've met here. He’s actually the one who inspired me to stay here in DA when I was having problems IRL (though he doesn’t know about this. Haha). I highly respect him. Not only is he an amazing writer but he is also a very responsible individual. He's a library manager in thewritersnook, an editor in Letters-Words-Write, an admin in PoetsClub and the founder of World-Ideas. He is truly an inspiration.

:icondarkshadowrage: DarkShadowRage is a very good poet and a fellow game enthusiast. Little does he know that his randomness makes his poetry unique and accessible by people. He is a talented guy.

:iconpyrox666xpheebs: Pyrox666xPheebs a good writer, a good friend. Pyrox666xPheebs has this magnetic aura that draws her readers. The way she treats her friends is very admirable as well. She is a hidden gem . Try venturing into her Scorpion's Lair.

:iconvenaeli: Venaeli is one of the people that I look up to. Her writings always leave me at awe, whether poetry or prose. She has great talent and she definitely knows how to wield it. Venaeli inspired a lot of writers here in DA and I highly suggest that you should check her out. Her writing style is exquisite and always leaves you thinking afterwards.

:iconimperfected-wisdom: Imperfected-Wisdom is a superb writer. She also does photomanipulations. She is one of the few people who I feel comfortable talking to about spirituality. Her knowledge about spirituality specifically the Goetia spirits is refreshing. It's good to know that there are people like her.

:icondeltabeta: Deltabeta is an up and coming writer. A good friend and a guy I can have a civil conversation about philosophy. He has great insights and I think that if he uses those, then he may be a force to reckon with here in deviantART. Plus, he’s a devout Christian whose faith leaves me at awe. Check him out.

:iconabysmalbliss: AbysmalBliss is underrated. I saw this guy in RawEm0tion. He was asking for help so I decided to lend a hand. Turns out he's a versatile writer. This guy always aims to improve. I can really see the effort in every poem he writes. Actually, I saw a part of me in his writings... striving to be better. So yeah, try reading his works.

Other Deviants you should really check out!

Token of Appreciation

:iconsomething44: Something44's Emotional Sanctuary

I wanna thank all my watchers for the love that I’m getting. If it weren’t for you guys I would stop doing poetry. During my first month in deviantART no one bothered reading my stuff, heck I deleted all the poems that I’ve uploaded... that is why my poems here in DA officially started last November 2007. Well enough about that I have something to tell you guys. To the people who love reading my work, I’m gonna upload a two-part poetry series on February 14, Valentine’s Day. What I want you to do is read them both, one entitled “Lady Love’s Silhouette” and the other “Love's Undying Caress...till death do us part’, the latter I’m gonna enter on both *Writers-Club and *TheWritersMeow contest. Lady Love’s Silhouette is part I while Love's Undying Caress is the culmination. These poems are for the people who had supported me all throughout my stay here in deviantART. I wanna thank you guys for being an inspiration.

In other news, I have an upcoming gig on February 15 in DLSU-Manila. It's for the school's University week. It's my first time to perform in years! haha. Actually I wasn't suppose to be a part of it but they needed a keyboardist, so the guys dragged me all the way to the studio. LOL! The band's been practicing since last week. Hope we won't mess up.

More power to everybody! :highfive:

:iconpyrox666xpheebs: Pyrox666xPheebs a good writer, a good friend and a proud Scorpio. Hey Pheebs, Scorpios rule! Haha… Pyrox666xPheebs has this magnetic aura that draws her readers. Lately she had an admition which I felt was a brave thing to do, and I am very proud of her. That act made me think of her sincerity in everything she does. The way she treats her friends is very admirable. Try venturing into her Scorpion's Lair.

:icondayintynsane: DayinTynSane has always been an avid watcher of mine since the start. She faves almost every poem I write. A good friend, she is a great supporter! She's a good writer, and an excellent fractal artist.

:iconakacorn: AKAcorn was the first one who gave me high praises. I owe my early deviantART journey to her. She's a good friend, and a great supporter. She's a very good poet herself.

:iconxanamei: xanamei was the person who brought me into deviantART. Before, I used to post poems in my blog... specifically multiply, then one day Shane asked me to try deviantART. So here I am now. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't be here. Send her some love. ^_^

:iconnoodlekneader: & :iconaxleaxis: noodlekneader and AxleAxis… my favorite DA love team. LOL! Actually I have the honor of watching these two deviants. They’re both excellent writers and their vast array of knowledge is reflected in their writings. I suggest you read AxleAxis’s God and Daemon, its prose poetry in format but it is really breathtaking. Noodlekneader too is a very good poet. Check them both out! You won’t regret it.
